My family, like many around the
world, has a story to tell about breast cancer. But unlike
the stories of many families, ours is one of survival. My
grandmother has fought the disease twice in her life, first
at age 40 and more recently in her eighth decade. Other women
in my extended family have also battled the disease and so
far we have won.
